Plateformes en Communs

« Plateformes en Communs » is a learning community of platforms coops, who share the following principles in their models :

• Inclusive governance of their stakeholders
• Fair sharing of the value generated by the interactions
• Data ethics
• Fair working conditions for the involved workers
• Inter-cooperation among platform coops

These principles are shared in the charter of the group.

« Plateformes en Communs » has 4 main objectives :

• Gather : create a French community of platform coops ;
• Highlight : communicate together about fair services provided by the platforms ;
• Produce : create common tools between communities and platforms to accelerate solution solving and innvation.
• Help : document the innovative practices of platforms about their governance, their production of communs and be a place for experience sharing;

« Plateformes en Communs » has been created in 2017 by La Coop des Communs, a French association which gathers cutting-hedge thinkers and producers of commons : researchers, activists, civil servants, entrepreneurs from the social economy. Its ambition is to connect the  Commons’ theories to the century of experience of the actors of the social economy in terms of cooperation. 

We are convinced that an alliance and a reciprocal relationship between SSE and commons will foster the collaborative economy’s development. Together, SSE and commons are able to constitute a solid foundation for sustainable development – based on a combination of different perspectives on economy – instead of just providing short-term solutions.  

La Coop des Communs leads the Co-Communs group, who wants to promote commons with the support of Cooperatives, mutuality, municipalities and Unions in Europe.
